As per the ESIC Act, all the companies consisting of more than 20 employees whose monthly salary falls under Rs.21,000 should register under the Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ESIC social security scheme brings reasonable healthcare to employees and their family members. As per this ESIC Act, its compulsory for all companies with more than 20 employees whose monthly salary falls under 21,000 should register under this act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, if the company falls under this act, then the Employees CTC needs to be updated including the ESIC employer and employee contribution<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If ESIC is applicable to company, then it is deducted on <strong>Gross Earning Salary .<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ESIC is applicable to employees whose <strong>Gross Master Salary <\/strong>is &lt;= 21,000 (wef. 1st Jan2017, earlier it was 15,000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ESIC contribution rates has been reduced from 6.5% to 4% with effective from <strong>1st July 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cleartax.in\/s\/esi-registration\">ESI<\/a>&nbsp;Scheme aims to provide hassle free services to both employers and employees through its information portal and services portal. As part of this effort, all compliance and payments are covered through internet. Employers can remit monthly contributions through portal. Presently, the online payment is enabled for SBI account holders having net banking facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two important aspects for making online payment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. SBI internet banking user id and Password<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. ESIC user id and password<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please type\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.esic.in\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.esic.in<\/a>\u00a0in the address bar and the page will be converted to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.esic.in\/ESICInsurance1\/ESICInsurancePortal\/PortalLogin.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.esic.in\/ESICInsurance1\/ESICInsurancePortal\/PortalLogin.aspx<\/a>\u00a0automatically<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"621\" height=\"336\" src=\"https:\/\/prehr.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-127\" srcset=\"https:\/\/prehr.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image.png 621w, https:\/\/prehr.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image-300x162.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 621px) 100vw, 621px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Monthly contribution filing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>User can file the monthly contribution via \u201cOnline Monthly contribution Screen\u201d.<\/li><li>On submission \u201cpreview\u201d page will be displayed<\/li><li>To submit the monthly contribution details to ESIC click \u201cSubmit\u201d button (refer screen shot)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The user can manually type the contribution against each employee or can upload an excel file as an attachment for bulk upload.
